CAPAC Members Celebrate Lunar New Year
Washington, D.C. — Today, Members of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) released the following statements to welcome the Lunar New Year, which begins on February 1, 2022 and marks the Year of the Tiger:
Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27), CAPAC Chair:
“I always look forward to Lunar New Year and the chance to celebrate with family, loved ones, and community. This holiday, central to the lives of billions around the world and millions right here in America, is also an opportunity for us to begin a new year with renewed purpose and energy. This year, as we celebrate the Year of the Tiger, we also celebrate the attributes of strength and courage, the same qualities we will need to face the enormous challenges that continue to face our communities, like the ongoing threat of anti-Asian violence and a full recovery from the pandemic.
