CAPAC Holds AAPI Community Roundtable Event with Speaker Pelosi and House Leaders for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) held a roundtable discussion with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Democratic leaders, and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community organizations as part of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The conversation covered matters of concern to the AAPI community like the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes, the economic and health disparities from the COVID-19 crisis, language access for everything from small business loans to healthcare, disaggregated data that better illustrates the diverse needs of the AAPI community, immigration reform that keeps families together, voting rights, housing, infrastructure, and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander issues.
